3 up & 3 down - Week 5

Was there ever some performances this past week.

Here are the guys who came to play.

Shane Victorino was a stud, taking advantage on the basepaths. He stole 7 bags while batting near .500. He is living up to his nickname, The Flyin Hawaiian.

Ken Griffey Jr. looks to be back, he hit 3 bombs but sadly his teammates were not on the bases when he did, only racking up 5 rbis. The .478 average was very impressive also.

Peavy had another great week, but he isn’t on the rise. His teammate Chris Young however, showed his real talent. Striking out 8 in 8 innings without giving up a run. It looks like the Princeton basketball player is getting back in form.

These guys did not……..

Roy Halladay did strike out 11 in 14 innings but his 6+ ERA is not what you expect from a top tier pitcher.

Andruw Jones had 1 home run and a .143 average last week. Not what you want out of your top outfielder.

Adrian Gonzalez had been the MAN for the Padres this season… until this past week. Luckily for him the pitching staff was good enough that fans didn’t notice his .190 average and 3 rbis.
