Studs & Duds - Week 7
Week 6 picks in review:
Studs
Troy Glaus was hardly a stud in week 6. He was injured most of the week and only managed to go 1 for 10.
Mark Teixeria is starting to heat up. He wasn’t on fire but he did contribute well with 1 home run and 6 rbis while hitting at a .400 clip.
Mark Hendrickson was disappointing to say the least. In 10 innings he gave up 7 runs while only striking out 5 and didn’t register a win.
Duds
Tim Wakefield owned the Jays again going 7 innings of shutout baseball. He recorded the Win and struck out 5.
Paul Konerko continued to struggle along with his teammates. He went 4 for 22 while only driving in 1 run and had 0 home runs.
Chipper Jones wasn’t a dud for the week but he didn’t help out any lineups either. He got a little banged up during the week and only recorded 1 rbi, but he did put up a .316 average.
Week 7
Our week 6 predictions were a bust. Week 7 should be different.
Studs
Alfonso Soriano has begun to find his stroke and with the move to number 3 in the order while D-Lee sits will only increase his rbi output.
Carl Crawford will get to face the Rangers and Marlins pitching staff this week. Expect big things from Mr. Crawford.
Daniel Cabrera and his overpowering stuff go against a slumping Jays team and the Nationals. 2 wins and 15 + Ks for the week are not out of the question.
Duds
Mike Mussina has started to pitch well but look for the White Sox to have success early in the week and Mets to have even more later in the week.
Someday Pujols will come out of this slump but it won’t be this week. The Dodgers’ and Tigers’ pitching staffs will keep him down another week.
Bobby Abreu just hasn’t produced this year, and this week will not be any different.
