Studs and Duds

Revisiting last weeks Studs and Duds…
Studs
Delmon Young went 10-for-29 with two home runs and five runs batted in. Though he didn’t steal a base, he did score six runs.
Hank Blalock didn’t fare quite so well but did go 4-for-21 with two runs, an rbi and a stolen base.
Ervin Santana struggled going 4 1/3 innings last week racking up an ERA of over 12.

We didn’t do so well with these guys.

Duds
Victor Martinez was ice cold. 0-for-0.
Wilson Valdez went 4-for-14 with one run and one run driven in.
Mike Jacobs went 3-for-15 with one run driven in.

Overall, we went 4-for-6! On to this week.

Studs.
Rickie Weeks is ready for a huge week. He’s swinging the bat better and the Brewers are starting to heat up around him.
Ryan Theriot is ready for some serious playing time in Chicago. Last year he came up and helped the Cubbies in a jam. This year he can help them in a situation that actually matters. He can also help your fantasy team.
Ramon Ortiz will throw against the Seattle Mariners this week and expect him to have a great outting.

Duds.
Fernando Rodney. How many people drafted him when they missed out on a bunch of good starters? I did. He doesn’t look great.
Alfonso Soriano has struggled. He’s not going to improve this year.
Miguel Tejada has no help and has looked lost at the plate.

We’ll be back next week Sunday to see how we did!
